Our Story
 
The Zimmerman Gallery has a unique spirit in Tubac as a space between an open studio and a traditional gallery. This fusion of open and traditional creates our gallery of “improv and light.” Our carefully curated collection of contemporary and Western-themed artwork features a wide range of media including oil paintings, bronze sculpture, glass sculpture, jewelry, graphite drawings, printmaking, photography, and acrylic mixed media. 

Owner Peter Zimmerman’s acrylic artwork is among this collection. With Peter as curator, visitors are invited into a space where art, improvisational jazz and conversation are brought together within a gallery setting.

Our small, but inviting space is filled with light & welcoming energy, with Carolyn and Peter always on hand to guide you through the gallery, offering insights into the artists, their work, and their creative processes. 

We believe that “A work of art that you love has the most value when it is in the right place with the right light.” Whether you are a seasoned art connoisseur or a first-time buyer, you are welcome to take the time you need to find what is exactly right for you.
